For the first time this year (2011) the weltformat festival is opening up for an international poster competition for students. 20 posters will be nominated and presented as an exibition, as part of the Lucerne festival in November. The winning poster will be printet offset in 500 pieces and hung by teh ApG Affichage throughout the country.

Wearable Organic Senior Fashions by Riitta Ikonen and Karoline Hjorth
Inspired by Norwegian folklore, “Eyes as Big As Plates” is a series depicting their neighborly Finnish elders festooned in the organic materials of their homeland, each an enigmatic but equally endearing character that has sprung to life from the old world fables.
